Data collection by the state

We are fighting to ensure that government databases such as registers and directories are subject to constitutional limits. Informational self-determination must be preserved. Fundamental rights must not be undermined by excessive data collection by the state. Currently, public authorities are collecting ever-increasing amounts of personal information about citizens - from biometric data and migration registers to movement profiles. Such data collection carries considerable risks of abuse, misuse, and security breaches.
