Lawyer and case coordinator

Dr. Benjamin Lück is a lawyer and case coordinator at the GFF. He works in particular on enforcing the rights of users against online platforms and on the topic of digital violence. He played a key role in drafting the GFF's discussion draft for a Digital Violence Protection Act. Another focus of his work at the GFF is on press freedom cases. Previously, he conducted research on intellectual property registers at Humboldt University, taught German private law at a Paris university for several years and worked as a lawyer at a Berlin commercial law firm in press and media law and intellectual property law. Benjamin studied law in Freiburg, Istanbul and Berlin and completed his legal clerkship in Berlin with stations at the German Federal Ministry of Justice, among others. In addition to his work at the GFF, Benjamin is a partner at the law firm KM8, where he focuses on press law and copyright law. He regularly publishes articles on these and other topics in expert journals and (online) magazines and speaks at relevant events.
