Surveillance by the police and secret services
We are committed to ensuring that state surveillance is limited to what is necessary and proportionate – whether in the use of state Trojans, strategic telecommunications surveillance, or the mass collection of movement data. A free society needs security – but without mass surveillance. When the police or secret services interfere disproportionately in people's private lives, this threatens the fundamental rights of everyone and creates a climate of intimidation.
